Church Square and the Arcade

This Sunday saw the YBG and Festive Decor volunteers erecting lights in the Commercial Arcade and Church Square.

The Arcade was difficult this year as there is a great deal of scaffolding up at the moment - however the team put up what they could. Steve Le Tissier and Simon Ellis made a good start on the canopy over Church Square.  This is a very time consuming job as the "web" is created strand by strand.  The main part is done and will be finished off next Sunday.

The team were paid a visit around noon by Festive Patron Sir Fabian Malbon.  Everyone was really pleased to see Sir Fabian, who stayed around for a chat and a quick photo opportunity.
