Switch On Day 2011

The big 'switch on' will take place this year on Saturday 3 December at 5.00pm in Church Square.  As usual, Father Christmas and his helpers will be coming to town to collect letters from the children of Guernsey, and to turn on the lights.

The running order for the day is:

  • 4.00pm - Father Christmas's helpers arrive at the Yacht Club
  • 4.05pm - Father Christmas arrives at the Yacht Club
  • 4.20pm - Parade leaves the Yacht Club headed for Church Square
  • 4.45pm - Parade arrives at Church Square
  • 5.00pm - LIGHTS ON!


      The entertainment in Church Square starts at 3.30pm.
